Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report
Water Level 188.64 msl
Water Temp 64 to 67
Water Clarity Stained on river, muddy in creeks
Bass are still working shallow to mid range depths early. Shaky heads and blade baits are a good choice. Top water plugs on edge of grass and cover will get a bite. Shallow running square bill cranks around rip rap do well also. The ledge fish are around the cover , natural and man made. Deep cranks and Carolina Rigs are the ticket.
Shell Crackers are showing up on the flats.
Crappie are still on the first drops in the creeks, minnows and jigs are the bait of choice. Deeper crappie are holding on the tree cover in 10 to 18 feet, Same baits for these too.
Catfish are spawning in the shallows and hitting bass baits. Some nice ones are coming in. These fish will also hit worms and cut bait.
The lake is fishing really hot if the fronts settle down. It's a great time to get out and catch a good mess of whatever species you have a taste for.
Be sure and visit www.alabamachildrensclassic.ors and sign up for our news letter and stay up to date on what's happening. We have the Power Pole and the beautiful Henry Golden Eagle Golden Boy Rifle again this year. You can get your chance on the web site.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
