Mystic weekend report from the Kingfisher

Capt. Mark Anderson
August 4, 2009
Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

The great fishing has continued through the weekend. Saturday morning a new group came out to try their luck with with live bait after previously fishing wire line with another charter. The Velez group was amazed at the quality and amount of stripers coming over the side. In about two hours the group of 4 guys limited out on bass up to 45 pounds. They continued to catch and release before trying their luck at some fluke. The fluke were around but most of the fish were undersized. They still managed two keepers for the table. Saturday afternoon was pretty much a mirror image for the bass. Long time customer Russ Ford brought his kids down for great striper catching with the biggest going 45 inches about 40 pounds. Sunday was rained out. We still have a few open dates for any interested groups. 860-573-3614
