Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

This week the Striper fishing found loads of school size bass in the Race as is typical at this point of the spring migration. We had fish on practically every drift using 3 wayed swim baits and small diamond jigs. Bluefish have also made a showing around the mouth of the CT. River and the western sound. Sea Bass fishing is improving every week with limits coming most trips. Fluke are beginning to filter in with some larger fish being caught.

Long Island Sound Fishing Forecast:

Larger Striped Bass will be arriving soon. Hopefully the large number of Bunker in the mid sound area will enter the river for easy bait catching.

Kingfisher Charters will provide fishing excitement that is customized for you and your group. We will personally discuss with you the type of trip that best suits your needs and desires. From the beginner to the advanced we offer fishing adventures other boats can't match.. A typical full day trip can take you light tackle casting, to live bait fishing, then to deep water trolling for striped bass, bluefish, and fluke. We specialize in live bait fishing for trophy sized bass in shallow water.
