Eastern Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound

Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Weekend report from the Kingfisher.

Started off Thursday the 30th with Tommy T’s group. Picked up some Hickory Shad and found the bass to take them. They each got about 5 stripers from 34” 40”, even picked up a few nice fluke on the way in. Great day for the regulars from Barkhampstead. Friday and Saturday was pretty much the same action until it finally slowed down sat. night. Still managed a nice fat 38” bass for their efforts. Sunday, went out on a friends boat and did well on Bluefin Tuna to 20 lbs. Also fought a few blue sharks. The week ahead looks like trips every day, Wednesday through Sunday, should have plenty of reports next week.
