Destin Flats Fishing

Capt. Blake Nelson
October 25, 2009
Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

The flats in Destin are still holding a lot of fish. We have been able to find plenty of trout in less than 3 feet and reds in about 1 to 2 feet of water. And with the cold weather we have been getting they are starting to bunch up in tighter schools.

The bluefish are still pretty thick on the flats as well. Here is the result of one that terrorized a little redfish that we were reeling in.

Destin Fishing Forecast:

The flounder bite is picking up and should stay strong for a couple more months
