The Destin Inshore Bite is still real strong!

Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have been getting some beautiful days to fish recently and the fish have been cooperating. We are getting most of the trout in a little deeper water, around 4-5 feet and the reds in real close to the bank in less than 2 feet. With the cold weather we've been having the reds seem to be bunched up a little tighter...when we find one we usually find a few more hanging around int he same spot. We are also starting to catch a few more flounder, won't be long before they are stacked up thick in their usual fall/winter holes.

Today the fishing was a little slow starting out, and with the 15-20mph Southeast wind, most of the spots I had been fishing were blown out pretty bad. We ended up finding our fish the last couple of hours of the trip but they bit good for us after that. We had a nice 5 lb black drum sneak in while catching our redfish, too.
