Everglades Fishing Report

Capt. Jason Sullivan
December 15, 2023
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have a stretch of bad weather the next few days, so it's a good time to get a fishing report out. This time of year we have some good tarpon fishing between the cold fronts if it gets warm enough. We haven't had much of that so we have been doing alot of snook and peacock bass fishing. Both of these have been on fire. The snook fishing in the backcountry of Flamingo has been great. Recently, we have had fish up to 34 inches and plenty of smaller ones mixed in. The peacock bass has also been incredible. We have fished mostly the northern part of the Everglades with 100 fish days, which is a blast on fly and light tackle.
