Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Red Hot Sailfish Action

OCTOBER

In case you missed us, we spent the month of October in the boat yard.

We re-powered with Cummins 370 diesels.

We did some interior and exterior paintwork, new modern helm and controls.

General maintenance and safety upgrades.

The whole crew pulled together for a 45-day marathon.

With the new power, the Lady Pamela II is the fastest charter boat to the fishing grounds.

Come check us out.

Tight Lines, Capt. David Ide

NOVEMBER

The last few weeks we have caught a lot of sailfish on the edge of the Gulf stream in 120-180 feet of water.

Kite fishing with live goggle eyes has been the most productive method.

There have been some Mahi-Mahi trolling offshore, along with a few Wahoo’s. We boated a thirty pounder last week. In addition, kingfish have been abundant.

WRECK FISHING

Has been hit and miss with some amberjacks and groupers.

EVENING FISHING

Inshore the Tarpon fishing has been phenomenal.

Offshore, the nighttime swordfishing has been very productive. With the cooler weather, there is a lot of tinker mackerel around that the swordfish feed on heavily.

Tight Lines,

Capt. David Ide

DECEMBER

The month of December really starts the red-hot sailfish action.

With the cold fronts moving down the sailfish are migrating heavily.

We can also expect to catch Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo and Kingfish.

This is the time of year that all of the Charter Fleet gets very busy.

So if you are planning on fishing while in South Florida, book your dates early to guarantee your days on our upcoming schedule.

Tight Lines,

Capt David Ide
