Gator Trout Alert

Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch
January 28, 2009
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

3 Broken Ribs does not prevent me from issuing this news flash. Several Captains and recreational anglers have called me regarding some intense Gator Trout action. I know what you're thinking. Where are the Gator Trout. Shooting over a baited pond has never been my style nor giving EXACT GPS #'s for a pothole but allow me to give you a clue. These fish will not be found on the grass flats. If you have caught 30 trout, 31 will not be a Gator. Go find the deeper potholes and fish them slowly. Forget the freakin' handle and how fast you retreve. Think rod tip.

This is not say Gator Trout cannot be scored via other tactics. I love the 52M Series made by MirrOlure. For Snook, Yo-Zuri rules. GiddyUp!

Will be back in action 2 weeks from this writing
