Fishing report for the week ending 8/28/2011
With a major hurricane skirting up the east coast the fishing was good staring wednesday with the winds shifting north and some huge high tides.

Fishing with Dan Quinn and his family we had two good days catching primarily redfish. With a storm tide and a strong north wind we were able to find the redfish on most points of islands facing the wind.
Normally this type of wind brings cooler temperatures and low tides we had just the opposite. All of the redfish were taken on live free linned shinners, in San Carlos Bay.

With the approaching storm the Army Corp of enginners were dumping Lake Okechobee causing salinity levels to drop dramatically. This made for fewer snook being caught, we did catch several nice flounder at one stop that along with a redfish and snapper made dinner that night.
