Fishing Report for Homosassa, Florida

Capt. Mike Locklear
January 1, 2001
Homosassa - Saltwater Fishing Report

On this freezing morning of 23 degrees my son John and I are preparing to go deer hunting near Orlando.

In celebration of the Holidays, I have a commitment to spend my gift certificate at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. It just

happens to be along the way to our hunting destination.

Thumbing through the 2001 Master Catalog, I realize there isn't much I need until I get to fishing accessories.

I have carefully earmarked the pages in which there are products in which I really need. In organizing my tackle,

the tournament tackle storage systems will come in handy. Most of my $100 will be spent here .

Rapala offers a selection of stainless tools and the Clipper combo appeals to me since it has a lanyard to hang around your neck.

Included is a jig eye buster, tuning tool, knife, line pick and hook file. I found that having clippers around your neck

to cut fishing line is the most convenient.

If you have not visited one of these mega stores, I invite you to go. Log on at www.basspro.com for detailed directions, maps, events and schedules.

In Florida there are Outdoor World stores in Orlando(407-563-5200), Ft. Lauderdale(954-929-7710) and Islamorada(305-664-4615).

My fishing trip for NewYear's Eve got canceled, so it is time for me to go hunting and then close to the camp fire.

Happy New Year to all. Keep your rod bent!
