SeaVee Boats - Catch More Fish

Fishing Report for Homosassa, Florida

Capt. Mike Locklear
March 10, 2000
Homosassa - Saltwater Fishing Report

With all the Spring like weather lately, salt water fishing action has improved. Bill and Anne Tribble fished with me last Saturday as the cold front moved through for 7 redfish and three keepers to 23 inches. Sam Shine and party caught 10 nice reds up to 27 inches while fishing with me using live shrimp.

Today Team Kaplan returned and had a great day. Two nice keeper grouper were landed using plugs. Barry caught both of the fish.

Five year old Nickie caught and released many undersized grouper. Also some keeper size sea bass were landed by Nickie.

The afternoon brought good redfish action using live shrimp. Several were kept for dinner in the 23-26 inch range.

It was a great day to be out on the gulf as the temperatures warmed up to near 80 degrees.
