redfish, redfish, redfish

Capt. Matt Hoover
October 14, 2011
Marco Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been excellent. Redfish are everywhere and the bait is coming down the beaches and making its way into the islands.
Double digit days with redfish are for the most part a no brainer. Live bait, jigs, flies, and lures are all taking their share of redfish. Most of them are in the slot with quite a few oversized fish on each outing.
There are plenty of snook as well. Trout and jacks are rounding out the catch. There are a few large tarpon about blasting mullet schools that are starting to ball up.
Fishing will remain hot and heavy as the fall migration continues. Give me a call and come get some. I'll see you on the water

Target Species:

snook, redfish,trout, and tarpon
