Lots of Sharks Hitting

Capt. Dave Pinkham
August 11, 2008
Venice - Saltwater Fishing Report

If you are looking for a big fight now is the time to pick it. All the trips are crossing paths with shark.

We've been hooking into blacktip shark, reef shark, hammer head shark, and nurse shark.

Generally we just anchor and start fishing for other species such as kingfish, Spanish mackerel, grouper, snapper, amberjack, and tuna. The smell of the bait and the action of catching these other species seems to be the draw for the shark.

This is a great time for fishing out on the Gulf aboard the Legacy
