SeaVee Boats - Catch More Fish

The Hybrids and Stripers are back!

Lake Oconee - Freshwater Fishing Report

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy fishing! It is on and it is wide open on Lake Oconee. The linesides are at the dam and they are in full swing. They are full of eggs and eating everything that comes into their path.

Normally it is good for the water to be released from Wallace Dam for the fish to bite really good. Yesterday the water wasn't released until we got off the water, and we still boated over 40 fish. I was one tired fishing guide when I finally made it home, but was so satisfied in what my customers experianced yesterday. These kind of catches will continue over the next full month as the fish do their thing at the dam.

Flatlinning and Downlinning live shad is the way to go. The guys fishing minnows yesterday caught just about nothing. During this time of the year the fish will just change from taking the minnows to going after the shad. Yesterday was one example of it.

I have some open dates over the next few weeks. Give me a call because you really dont want to miss this!

Tight Lines

Doug has been guiding on Lake Oconee for over 10 years. His specialty is trophy Striped and Hybrid Bass, and huge Crappie during certain months. His boat is a Ranger 2300 Bay Series powered by a 225 Yamaha 4-stroke motor. It is spacious and can fish up to 6 people! Lake Oconee is the second largest reservoir in the state of Georgia with over 18,000 surface acres of water. The lake is heavily stocked each year with Striped and Hybrid Bass. Doug tries to catch all of them!
