The Jeff is starting to clear and drop. - The Jeff is starting to drop, visibility is nearly 2 feet. Fishing should be good using big dark bugs near the bottom, and mayfly imitations just off the bank where the clearest water is. High water still rules in SW Montana - Hi Everyone,
The water is still dark on the Jeff, and Gallatin, and Yellowstone, and very high. The Jeff will be another 2 weeks before it starts to drop and clear.

Great early fall fishing on Gallatin river - Hi everyone,
The night time temps are cooler, and the water is cold thru out the day. The fishing is holding up longer, as the fish are more active. Flows are good. Hoppers are still working, along with the usual attractor nymphs.
