Hello Everyone, and Happy New year to all.
The river is flowing around 350 cfs. The water clarity is around 3 feet. Not much moss.
The rainbows are in their spawning mode.
The upper areas has been fishing fair to good. Yellow egg patterns, #20-24 red larva's, red brassies, #22-24 black zebra midges and black scintilla bubble midges.
The Texas Hole is fishing good using the above patterns, light colored leeches, or eggs trailed by red larva's was doing the trick good. There is midges coming off some days mid am. Mark' magic Midge or 3M caught fish for me all the way down to Crusher hole, end of Quality Water. There is a decent midge and small beatis hatch starting around beatis bend , and Simon Cayon down to last Chance. #20-22 Flashback pheasant tails, chocolate foam wings, RS2's. Mark's Magic Midge #22-22, gray with black, or silver wire ribbed.
For you spin fisher's the river has been fishing good with jigs. We had our best luck with a 1/16 ounce gray marabou, with UV Krystal flash.
I hope this helps you get a bent rod.
Tight Lines to all,
Mark
