Spey fly fishing for wild BC Steelhead
The photo of the week shows a beautiful summer run Steelhead taken on a swung fly in the lower Skeena drainage, as you can see this is a beautiful creation and when an angler is fortunate enough to get a pull from a fish like this it’s all smiles. When this above average Steelhead took the fly it went immediately upstream, typical of larger Steelhead, unaware the client reeled this fellow close to the shoreline then all of a sudden the aggressive nature kicked in and off he went, and into the backing was the drill, finally after a long tug of war this wild beast was digitized and released into the glacial waters of the BC North, this is the dream the Steelhead angler was after.
