Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report
April has been hot and windy, warm water temps have the fish chewing, but anglers are looking for a reprieve from the wind.
Snook fishing is great around bridges, seawall, docks and mangrove shoreline. Both sides of the tides produce fish. Live bait, DOA terror eyz and Rapala x raps bait of choice. Anglers are catching a mixed bag of snook, fat snook, common snook, and sword spine. That's the cool part about our local waters variety and never knowing which species is going to strike your bait.
Docks and drop offs are providing plenty of drum, snapper, snook, jacks and plenty other species. Anglers are catching 10 to 15 different species on a fishing outing. Live bait, shrimp and jigs are the common method.
Deep holes and channels are still holding a wide variety of species like spanish mackerel, bluefish, sharks, jacks, weakfish, snapper and snook. DOA C.A.L. shrimp worked on the bottom as well as live bait will get the drag screaming. With all these fish schooling in these areas, anglers are provided with nonstop action never knowing what's going to strike next.
