Lake Guntersville - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Guntersville gave up some Donkeys this past week with one day that was just awesome. I fished with Masa he is from Japan and made a special trip to come fish Lake Guntersville with me and WOW is all I can say he started the day off with a 9-02 lb largemouth then backed it up with a 9-09 lb largemouth in a few cast later. I managed to get a 9-05 lb a little later in the day.

It took him a few hours to relaize what he had done, but I knew what had happen it was a trip of a life time. We are focusing on clay points in 5-7 feet of water if you can find one with some wood on it that makes it that much better of a spot. Our baits of choice have been 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz SPRO Aruku Shads in Chrome and Black, and Red then switching over to Texas Rigged NetBait Lizards and working them slow.
Duckett Micro Magic 7'6 Med Heavy Rods
Ducket 360 Reels
Sunline Sniper FC 16lb

Cameron Gautney and I fished the Alabama Bass Trail on Neely Henry Saturday and we did not blank this year we actually cut a check we took 15th place and moved to 3rd in the AOY standings.
