Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Here at TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS the last two days has been a mixture of fishing and duck hunting, a "cast and blast" time spent on the wind churned Mississippi Sound, as well as the protected waters of the Back Bay of Biloxi.
On Friday, a fine group of gentlemen consisting of Mike Blake, Mark Blake, Josh Blake, and Jeff Logan enjoyed some excellent bottim fishing for black drum, flounders, and sheepshead.

These gentlemen fished hard, and they were rewarded with a box full of the hard fighting bottom dwellers. Josh landed the biggest fish of the day, a fine black drup pushing 30-pounds or so. The big fish was released to fight another day.

However, 4 monster fish were lost after battles spent chasing them down in the boat.

We were fishing with 10-pound-test Yo-Zuri Hybrid, and all of the gear held up well, but the hooks simply pulled out on the 4 monsters.
Bottom line, they caught a box full of fish, and had a wonderful family time fishing together.
On Saturday I was able to guide George Emile to a wild weather day of diving duck hunting on the Mississippi Sound.

Despite nasty weather conditions the ducks refused to fly, but George ended up with 4 buffleheads, one a beautiful drake, as well as a fine drake redhead.
George had a blast, and wants to do it again before the season closes on January 25, 2009 if he can get away.
Hey, just because it's wintertime doesn't mean we can't catch a mess of fish here in south Mississippi. It's just a matter of you picking up the phone and giving me a call.
Regards,
