Susquehanna River - Freshwater Fishing Report

With 2 feet of snow expected to hit our area this week, I just wanted to look back at last year and reflect on a great year of guiding.
First the Flathead Catfish. We ended up landing about 20 fish over 30lbs and hundreds over 20 lbs. I had one young angler catch 2 over 30 lbs back to back. Most trips yielded a few fish at least breaking the mid 20 lbs mark. April all the way through November was productive.

Smallmouth fishing was tremendous this year. Our season started last year in March and went all the way through December. The amount of trophy class fish over 4lbs was just plain awesome. I really need to keep better track of fish numbers, but I think we were around the 3500 smallmouth count for the season. Thats pretty impressive when you look at the size of the Susquehanna's fish.

I look forward to another great year of both Flathead and Smallmouth trips and look forward to fishing with all of you again soon.
If you are looking to get in March through May please get with me as soon as possible. As you all know I do my best to fish with everyone that wants to fish with me personally. If thats not the case, I have some great guides that will give you a great day on the water.
