'Tis the season..... - To catch big reds in the pass! We hit it mid morning today. Got some big menhaden that were just dying to be redfish food. As soon as Ray put his first down up came a 26 7/8 inch red and they only got bigger from there.

Pass fishing heating up. -
The reds are biting in the pass. I managed two 20lb fish in between Ray's fish yesterday. Fishing was good with some blues mixed in. Bait was easy to get.
There are several ways to catch the reds in the pass. One is to anchor with a live bait more...

Flounder could finally be on the move! - Today we spent a couple of hours in West Bay teaching how and where to catch reds and trout. Hit the hot water canal with nothing going on there just yet.
We headed toward the pass and the Island finding no flounder in the kiddie pool but some good more...

Cooler weather could bring great opportunity. - This time of year I spend a little more time on the golf course and in the deer stand. I took a nice doe a few days ago with my bow.

Still hot but the fishing is good. - I guess the extended summer is having a positive effect on all the fish but the flounder. This week we have caught some really nice blues. Several in the five pound plus range which are a big time on light tackle.
